Individual Counseling

Marion Area Counseling Center provides a number of substance use disorder recovery services. Treatment is provided by licensed and certified chemical dependency counselors. 

Case Management

There are people who, due to their substance abuse problems, need services that help them to improve their daily functioning and abstain from alcohol and/or drug use. Services may include help in developing daily living skills, coordinating treatment services as well as linkage and referral to other services. Case management services provide support for an addicted person, who was previously unable to maintain sobriety, to enhance their life, through the development of a personal recovery program. 

Intensive Outpatient Treatment

Upon receiving a referral the client will go through an assessment process which will help the treatment staff determine the number of self-help meetings, one on one counseling and treatment programming meetings the client will attend. Treatment programming will vary from individual to individual Clients will attend at a minimum of three days of treatment programming. Treatment programming will consist of stages of the disease.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Evaluation and Management services are those activities performed by a physician, certified nurse practitioner, registered nurse, or licensed practical nurse to address the physical needs of the client’s medical services. Included is Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). MAT is a service provided by a medical professional that is associated with the prescription of medications, direct administration of medications, and the follow-up monitoring of client health related to the use of medication. Medication-Assisted Treatment services is provided in conjunction with other AOD treatment medications that are prescribed are approved by the USDA specifically for the treatment of alcohol and or drug abuse or dependency.
